THE FOLLOWING IS INTENDED TO INFORM OUR PASSENGERS BEFORE
TRAVELLING TO ENSURE THE EXPERIENCE IS RELAXING, SAFE, AND CONVENIENT FOR
EVERYONE.

No reservations are required when travelling Malaspina Coach Scheduled service.
Schedules are subject to change. Before travel it is recommended to call toll free 1 877-227-8287 or visit our website for updated travel advisories.
Tickets are valid for three (3) months from the date on the ticket.
All passengers must have in their possession a valid ticket for seat check.
Visa, MasterCard, or Debit cards are accepted as payment at our Gibsons, Sechelt, & Powell River depots. Any other location, passengers requiring tickets must pay by cash or travellers cheques.
The carrier will not be responsible for lost or stolen items or tickets.
Malaspina Coach is not responsible for delays caused by ferry, weather, or other conditions beyond control.
The carrier reserves the right to transport passengers on a later schedule than that for which the passengers presented themselves for transportation if it is found impossible or inexpedient to provide transportation at the time desired by such passengers.

Fares shown in this tariff apply only to transportation of passengers who have reached or passed their twelfth birthday.
BC Seniors travel at a discounted rate; Monday through Thursday when ferry involved- except Holidays-
Upon presentation of a valid BC Gold Care Card.
For point to point travel within one zone, a minimum charge of six ($6) dollars will apply.
Return fares for Adults & Child fares only: Between Sunshine Coast zones and Vancouver receive four ($4) dollars off sum of North & South Fares.
No Agent of employee shall have authority to change or deviate in any way from fares, routes, rules, time schedules, or regulations shown herein.
Prepaid ticket orders are accepted no later than 24 hours in advance of travel date.
Require first and last name of traveller, are non-refundable, non-transferable, valid only on date specified at time of purchase, and subject to a $10 service charge + tax & applicable fare.
Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by someone age 15 years or older.
Children under the age of five (5) when accompanied by an adult fare paying customer and not occupying a seat to the exclusion of another passenger will be carried free of charge.
If occupying a seat, children will be charged half adult fare. Children five (5) years of age and below twelve will be charged half the adult fare rounded up.
Two children below five years of age will be charged half the adult fare rounded up.
A maximum of two children when accompanied by an adult will travel at half fare.
Disabled passenger fare will be reduced by $8 when ferry involved & upon presentation of suitable identification. If a disabled passenger is travelling with a guide, only one full ferry fare will apply for both passengers.
Group discounts may apply for groups over ten (10) with prior arrangements & authorization from Management.
For everyone’s safety and comfort, Malaspina asks that passenger follow certain restrictions while on board.
No smoking, food or beverages permitted on any Malaspina Coach Bus.
The carrier reserves the right to refuse transportation to any person or persons under the influence of liquor or drugs or incapable of taking care of themselves, or whose conduct may be objectionable or a source of danger to other passengers.
Cats, dogs, birds, or other animals accompanying passengers will be carried in the baggage compartment at owner’s risk and only when properly crated. Express charges will apply.
A service animal, trained for the purpose of accompanying a disabled person, will be permitted to travel with the disabled person at no additional charge. The service animal must ride in the bus within the passenger’s space. Service animals may not travel in the aisle or occupy a seat.
Property carried at owner’s risk: The following items may be transported at owner’s risk (included but not limited to: Articles of extraordinary value, articles other than baggage contained in cartons, business machines, CD players, cameras, computers, fragile articles, jewellery/watches, musical instruments, radios, etc.)
All baggage must be enclosed in receptacles such a suitcases, trunks, valises, telescopes, club bags, hat boxes, tool boxes, or leather satchels, and provided with handles, strapped or otherwise securely fastened and made of material of sufficient strength and durability and of a quality size, shape, and character adapted to motor coach transportation.
A plastic and/or paper bag is not accepted as checked baggage therefore, shipped at owner’s risk.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: one piece of baggage, not exceeding 60 pounds, and one carry-on bag not exceeding 25 pounds is permitted per adult fare without additional charge.
One piece of baggage not exceeding 30 pounds is permitted per half fare without additional charge.
Baggage in excess of the above limits will be subject to excess baggage charges.
Bicycles will only be accepted as baggage at main depots, subject to space, shipped at owner’s risk, for an additional twenty ($20) dollar charge.
The carrier will not be responsible for loss or damage to money, negotiable papers, and jewellery or like valuables in passenger’s baggage.
The carrier will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to baggage in excess of the value allowances or $50 fifty dollars on any adult fare or more than $25 twenty-five dollars on any half fare.
The carrier does not guarantee to forward baggage on the same vehicle with the passenger or within a time limit, but reserves the right to forward it on a preceding or following vehicle. The carrier will not be liable for damage due to delay or to conditions beyond control.
Any baggage unclaimed after forty-eight (48) hours may be subject to a storage charge of $1 one dollar per day, with a maximum charge of fifteen ($15) dollars for each thirty day period.
Baggage or property remaining unclaimed for ninety (90) days after storage charges have commenced will be given to charity.
Charges, rules, and regulations as set out herein apply to the transportation of baggage and other personal effects of passenger jointly with passengers on transportation issued over lines of this carrier. In transferring to or over the lines of other carriers, this carrier accepts no responsibility except that of forwarding agent or connecting carrier.
Refunds are not permissible by anyone other than those authorized through Head Office.
All refunds are subject to a service charge. No fee will apply if the schedule has been missed as a result of delays caused by ferries, road conditions, or other conditions beyond the carrier’s control.
Any tickets submitted for refund after three (3) months would have no refund value and will not be extended.
Date of issue is determined by the date of purchase as written on the original ticket.
